Liaison College Barrie Campus offers a week long adventure in food for students aged 12-17. We offer these camps during the March Break and select weeks in the summer. Students receive a Chef Jacket, hat and a wealth of recipes to take home after learning basic knife handling skills, sanitation, food preparation and of course eat great food! Teaching your children how to cook gives them lifelong skills in nutrition, organization, creativity, reading recipes, simple math and sciences. They learn the need for constant attention to achieve success through the entire cooking process and they even learn to expand their palate and try new foods!
Our program runs in the afternoon from noon 4 p.m. daily and costs $350.00 per student. Weekly themes include:
Breakfast to Bedtime a journey through a variety of common foods allowing participants to break out of their preconceptions regarding food and try something new while still enjoying the foods we love.
Best of France and Italy the classics! Have a budding chef in your family? Want to give them a head start? This program teaches classical cooking techniques which are the foundation to modern cuisine.
A Taste of the World this is for the adventurous teen who loves to try different foods from all over the world. Classic Mexican, Asian and European dishes are highlighted.
